Introduction to Nivaran Foundation:

Nivaran Foundation is a non-governmental organization with an office in CTC Mall, Sundhara, Kathmandu, Nepal. Registered as a non-profit organization with the company registrar, the Nivaran Foundation is a global campaign focusing on ending poverty and inequality. The foundation envisions achieving prosperity and equality through community engagement, networking, public-private partnerships, and multi-stakeholder coordination. With a focus on community empowerment, NF employs a holistic approach to create lasting, positive change.

What we do:

To bring a positive impact to underserved communities, the foundation focuses on improving access to healthcare, education, child welfare, environmental stewardship, and community development. Through these efforts, the foundation is committed to bring a breakthrough in the lives of underserved communities. NF aims to demonstrate meaningful change through its impactful projects, including Sanjeevani, Vidya, Nurture, Terra, and Unity. Sanjeevani is dedicated to ending health barriers, Vidya to conquer educational hurdles, Terra as a solution to critical environmental and climate challenges, and Unity in fostering issues and challenges of community economic empowerment.

Sanjeevani:

This project aims to empower citizens from the rural areas of Nepal, deprived of health services, by providing easy and affordable access to quality healthcare. The project is divided into four phases:

  • Phase 1 (2025-2027): Health Camps
  • Phase 2 (2027-2029): Nivaran Health Centers Network
  • Phase 3 (2027-2032): Nivaran Foundation 50-Bed Hospitals in 77 districts

  • Phase 4 (2032-2036): Nivaran Foundation Central Hospital with more than 700+ beds, as a research, learning, and training hub.

Vidya (2027 to 2033) This project aims to transform global education challenges through technology-friendly teaching and learning systems. Its main activities include establishing 100 digital learning centers around the world in the first phase, establishing smart classroom teaching approaches based on a digital system, providing training to at least 1,000 teachers and making them technology-friendly, and collaborating to build the necessary physical infrastructure in schools and upgrade infrastructures.

Nurture (2028-2034),standing at the foundation of child welfare and protection, Nurture aims to reduce malnutrition, end child labor and address other social barriers to children from underserved communities. It targets establishing 200 nutrition centers, creating child protection networks, building their capacity, transferring life skills, and organizing mobile health camps and supporting mental health programs, thereby ensuring their physical, emotional and social development.

TERRA (2029-2035) A project with the slogan of environmental harmony for future generations, Terra priorities forest restoration activities such as wildlife conservation, sustainable energy development, waste management, and greenery enhancement.

Unity (2030-2038) is a project for community consolidation and synergy that aims to develop resilient communities focusing on economic empowerment, innovation, and joint community action. It aims to foster sustainable growth by implementing activities such as the construction of community centers, economic empowerment, leadership development initiatives, and infrastructure development. Through these efforts, the project will contribute to building stronger, more self-sufficient communities.

Introduction to Health Camps:

Nivaran Foundation has planned to start health camps starting in May 2025, covering 52 districts from Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Koshi, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces, covering 252 municipalities from these provinces. It has planned to serve a 4,50,000 population, covering health services in eye care, dental care, general medicine, ENT, and lab testing. The foundation will mobilize 24 technical teams, including general practitioner doctors, eye specialists, dentists, and ENT specialists. The use of various diagnostic equipment and tools, including lab equipment, dental and eye equipment, comes under the camp. Under the first phase of Project Sanjeevani, the health camp will start from the Bajura district and will expand to others.

Key services to be rendered during the camp:

Patient registration, general physical examination, blood pressure and hypertension measurement, blood tests, urine tests, pulse oximetry, weight and height measurement, vision check, hearing check, dental checkups, portable X-ray or ultrasound, referrals, chronic condition screening, etc.

General Objectives

  • Provide accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to underserved rural populations.

  • Conduct preventive and diagnostic health screenings to improve early detection of diseases.

  • Educate communities on hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy living practices.

  • Establish a scalable and sustainable healthcare delivery model.

    Partnership Models of Nivaran Foundation:

    Financial Partnership

    Under this partnership, the Nivaran Foundation has extended its collaboration to global, national, and local levels, working with governments, non-governmental organizations, private companies, and financial institutions. The foundation envisions investing financial resources in the development of Nepal's underserved communities by generating funding from these organizations.

    Service Partnership:

    The organization gives higher impetus to acquiring specialized knowledge, skills, technologies, and experiences from experts in the fields of health, education, environment, community development, and child welfare. It is seeking service partnerships from various government,  non-government, private sector, and other development stakeholders.

    Products Partnership:

    Nivaran Foundation seeks product partnerships with various government, non-governmental, and private sector organizations, as well as other types of entities, to provide essential services and commodities to local communities. This includes a plethora of products, such as health products, education products, construction materials, and more. The organization is actively seeking collaborations with partners to deliver these products and services aimed at enhancing community welfare.
